Completed the first part of the SCHROTH education
As part of the cross-border project RE-TREAD, co-financed from the Interreg IPA cross-border cooperation program Croatia-Serbia 2021-2027, the first part of the education for the SCHROTH method was successfully held in the period from June 20 to 24, 2025, in the „JUNAKOVIĆ” Special Rehabilitation Hospital, Apatin, and in the organization of the Special Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Novi Sad.
The five-day „ISST Schroth International Basic Course” training was attended by 15 physiotherapists from three partner special hospitals: Special Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases Novi Sad (Serbia), Special Rehabilitation Hospital „Junaković”, Apatin (Serbia) and Toplice Lipik - Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation (Croatia). Through theoretical and practical work, the participants acquired knowledge from the SCHROTH therapeutic method and successfully completed the first part of the training.
The second part of the training will be held in the period from September 10 to 14 this year, which will complete the comprehensive training of all participants. SCHROTH education is part of a wider set of activities by which the RE-TREAD project improves professional capacities and introduces innovative methods in healthcare institutions. In addition to education, the project includes the procurement of modern equipment, the development of digital solutions and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits. This education is another step towards higher quality and more accessible rehabilitation care in the region.
